About IMU CET UG Exam - The Indian Maritime University conducts Online Common Entrance Tests - CET for admission to following Undergraduate Programmes in IMU Campuses and Affiliated Institutes.

UG Programmes - 

B.Tech (Marine Engineering)
B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering)
B.Sc (Nautical Science)
B.Sc (Ship Building & Repair) 
Diploma in Nautical Science

IMU CET UG 2020 Eligibility -

U.G Programmes -

Age limit - Age as on the date of admission on 01 August 2020 shall be as follows:

i) Minimum age - 17 years
ii) Maximum age - 25 Years

For Scheduled Castes (SC) & Schedule Tribe (ST) Candidates maximum age relaxation is for five (5) years.


3 Year B.Sc (Nautical Science) - 

IMU Campuses - Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Cochin

Eligibility - 10+2 or equivalent (PCM-60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks


1-Year DNS programme - 

IMU Campuses - Navi Mumbai & Chennai

Eligibility -  10+2 or equivalent (PCM-60% average)
OR
B.Sc (PCM)/ B.Sc (Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) with marks not less than 60% in aggregate,
OR
B.E./B. Tech from IIT or college recognised by AICTE with marks not less than 50% in aggregate.

Note: English Marks are to be 50% or more in 10th or 12th or Degree examination.

In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.


4 year B. Tech (Marine Engineering) - 

Location - Kolkata, Mumbai Port and Chennai 

Eligibility - 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, it will not apply to English marks. 


4 Year B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) -

Location - Visakhapatnam

Eligibility - 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.)

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.


3 Year B.Sc (Ship Building and Repair) -

Location - Offered only in one Affiliated Institute

Eligibility - 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 50% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.)

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.


IMU CET UG 2020 Pattern and Syllabus - 

Common Online CET for all UG Programmes -

No. of Questions – 200 multiple choice questions.

Syllabus - English, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics at Plus 2 level. 

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. 

IMU CET UG 2020 Application Form - 

Apply online at official website - https://www.imu.edu.in from First week of April 2020 to First week of May 2020.

Scanned copy of 12th Std/ Degree Certificate (wherever applicable)

Registration Fee is Rs. 1000 for General/OBC-NCL candidates and Rs. 700 for SC/ST Candidates.

The candidates will be able to make payment for the Registration Fees Online.
