 About JEE Advanced Exam - Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) conduct Joint Entrance Examination - JEE (Advanced) for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs in all the IITs.




JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility - 

Performance in JEE (Main) 2020 - Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper 1 of JEE (Main) 2020.

Age Limit - Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Number of attempts - A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2019 or 2020.


JEE Advanced 2020 Pattern - 

JEE (Advanced) 2020 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory.

Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Mode - Computer Based Test

Type of Questions - Objective type (multiple choice and/or numerical answer type) 

Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers of some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination.

The question papers will be in English and Hindi languages.

Apply online at official website - https://jeeadv.ac.in between first and Second week of May 2020.

Registration Fee - 

Female candidates (all categories): Rs. 1300 + GST
SC, ST, PwD candidates: Rs. 1300 + GST
For all other candidates: Rs. 2600 + GST

Detailed instructions related to the payment of registration fee will be provided at the time of JEE (Advanced) 2020 registration on the online registration portal.

Download Admit Card from - Third week of May 2020.
